Description

We want to design a load cell based stand that will measure the weight of of the LPG cylinder to display an indication of the amount of LPG left inside the cylinder using a bar graph. Attached is an image that will give you an idea of the deliverable. We are looking for someone to select the right components and make the schematic, layout and gerber files, BOM and assembly drawing. We also want to have the mechanical visualization of the device. It should be battery operated. You need to select battery as well.
Specifications are
- Weight measurement requirements are 5 Kg to 15 Kg. (weight of empty LPG cylinder and filled one)
- Requires battery operated meter. Meter should be working long run without changing battery. Something like 1 year or 2 year. So you need to consider current consumption of overall circuit. You can make circuit sleep and user can press button to see status. At that time, circuit will get power from battery.
- We want mechanical visulization and assembly drawing of the final product with mounting of load cell, PCB and bar graph display mountings on cylinder stand.
- Being a simple consumer product price should be low. BOM should not exceed $10 including stand.
- Bid range is $30 to $250

Deliverables include
- Visualization of product with mounting of sensor, battery and Display Unit with LPG stand (this means mechanical part is also included)
- BOM which should be less than 10$ including cost of LPG stand.
- Design document explaining about how weight of empty cylinder will be taken into account, how sleep mode will be used, what will be current consumption of the circuit and what will be life of battery for selected batteries.
- Schematic, Layout, gerber files and software
- Final Prototype including mechanical stand as well as fully tested product

All Deliverables will be delivered in the sequence they are mentioned.

I am accomplished, seasoned Design Engineer with the solid background in design. Technically skilled in the following software: P-CAD, SolidWorks, Kompas-3D, AutoCAD. I recommended use AVR microcontroller with picoPower technology and CR2032 type of battery. I can develop 3D model of LPG Status Meter (SolidWorks). I can select sensor of weight with necessary time of delivery (it depend on your provider of components).

i can place 10 leds indicating percentage of weight each led indicates 10%. also i will not take any money till you try the project and test it,mechanical and structural parts will not be done only drawings,also the device will be needed to be calibrated after production,method of callibration will be sent to you and will be easy to be achieved.
