The above statement could give some misunderstanding (It only uploads the photo, do not change the size or compress it) and I want to clarify that.
Above I want to say the database does not change the size or compress the image as always. This function was never implemented.
The problem is ONLY at uploading the photos as they are.

Attention to the following:
The provided solution will have to be fully compatibly with the existent photo database. If we want to delete or substitute old photos/entries, it will be seamless possible by the provided fix/solution without damaging any old database and/or photo entries.
Right now I can update the photos, but only by editing them directly in phpMyAdmin in the Cpanel, and uploading them by FTP to the appropriate directory.

I am sorry, but I have not mention, that I need the new system to do automatic resizing and compression of the photos to thumbnails of 200X200 pixels maintaining the proportion, and these thumbnails should be clickable to open a pop-up window with the respective photo, but in the dimensions of 400x400 pixels maintaining the proportion.
