Description

I am in need of a database which will be used to log jobs into for repair. It will require fields such as name, address, postcode, telephone number, mobile number & email address, date, service type (fast, regular), and a field for a unique barcode/job number.

Second to this, it will need two text fields of say 500 characters each. The first field will be the fault reported by the customer, the second field will contain text input by the engineer detailing the work which has been done.

Thirdly, it will need fields for the job such as cost, time taken and status (to be done, in progress, completed, waiting for parts, waiting for customer response etc).

I'm sure there will be some small other bits to do as the database is refined and customised to our needs.

There will also need to be a simple front end so the database can be searched by customer name for example, to quickly locate their job, and of course a front end 'form' to enter all this information.

There maybe a requirement to share the database so that jobs can be booked onto it from two different computers. Please consider this when bidding, though this will be a separate project in the future.
