Bid On This Project

Description

REPOST-Due to previous service provider not finishing on time, this has been reposted, time is a factor now so please do not bid unless you can complete the task within a day of being chosen as winner. Time is paramount for this now.

Dear users, problem here is I have been given a project that is to be undertaken by a group, unfortunately group members have dropped out and tackling this alone, I am completely lost. The task is as follows, based on a case study (that I will not put up yet, but concerns a booking system for a university, contains about 10 entities).
THese are the following question I need help with;

a) A fully annotated E-R diagram 1 and 2 showing the entities, primary and foreign keys,
composite keys, relationships, optionality and cardinality.

b) A Relational schema of your database in 3NF, clearly indicating attributes, the data
type of each attribute, primary and foreign keys, candidate keys, and which attributes
are nullable, giving reasons. List any assumptions you need to make.

There is alot more to this coursework, but so far just getting the ERD1 & 2 correct has proven difficult. I need someone to attempt both so I can compare it against what I have so far.

Case study is attached, development of erd's 1 & 2, preference is using the "crow feet" notation and in powerpoint.

Regards
Herosquad

Hello again, I did bid last time but you did not select me.. I have read your case study, and it's not that difficult. The case study contains lots of entities, and you just need to know how to relate these entities. For example let me point out some of your entities: Entity Dormitories can be related to Entity bedrooms/study room and also the entity dormitory tutor. Keep in mind that you should design the ERD in such a way that you don't exclude other entities such as lecturers, professors, students.... For the 3NF normalization of the database, it will be derived of course from the 2NF. You just have to split the tables so as to make sure that there are not redundant data while performing queries such as insert and update. By the way, I am an Oracle Consultant. Regards.
