I need someone to build a script that will take information from a financial website (briefing.com. I will provide passowrd) and based on symbols and dates in Excel will copy and paste certain news articles into a word document. For instance, if the Excel spreadsheet says GSIC 2/7/2005, the script will have to find the news articles with the words GSIC on 2/7/2005, and paste it into a word document. It will also have to go and check news articles that have been written on GSIC for a few days prior to 2/7/2005, and paste those into the word document. Preferably the script/applet will run locally on my Windows box rather than being mounted at an ISP etc. Simple program.

There is also one more very important item. That is, that if, for instance, the script has pasted a news article into word, for, say, 12/7/2005, and the next article was, say, on 12/11/2005, i want the script to mark those days in between with a notation. Since the stock market is not open on American holidays and weekends, i want to be able to know what those days in between are. So going back to our example. If 12/7/2005 is a Friday so on the line after the news article there should be a line saying 12/8/2005 stock market closed, and the next line saying 12/9/2005 stock market closed, and the next line saying 12/10/2005 stock market OPEN, and then on the next line would be the news article for 12/11/2005.
