Description
I have a price file that I receive updates for every three months. I have modified the stock number in the price file by adding 3 digets and a space to the front of each number and using that new number in the inventory file. I need a macro or access written program that will compare the number in the NEW PRICE FILE and find it's match in the INVENTORY FILE and then compare the new price found in the NPF and update the IF with the new price. There is also six colums that need to change which are price levels and are bases on the new price. I also require an 'exception' report that will gather all the items that did not find a match. I've included two example worksheets in one file (you will actually be working with two excel spreadsheets), 1) the NEW PRICE FILE (NPF) that I recieve every three months and the INVENTORY FILE (IF) which is the file that I need updated (it's the preious update from 3 months ago). This example shows the set-up and for those who are interested in the project, I'll send the two complete spreadsheets. The NPF has 10114 items and the IF has 11418 items. I would like this to be flexable enough that the process could be done on any two spreadsheets, by just 'plugging' in the required colums to compare and fill out.. and again don't forget about an 'exception' report for those matches that are not found.

When I went to post this project, I see that "Project for dsendra" has given me a rating of 1, this is too bad because they have never contacted me (as they state) about following up on a project that I awarded to them. I make the same claim that I did try to contact them (at the end of December, 2005), but never heard from them either.... I however have not down graded/rated them for the missed communication.
All this to say that I know this is a small project and I hope that the rating will not discourage anyone from bidding.
