Further to my original work request, I have set out in more detail exactly what it is that I need as it is causing some confusion.
Essentially, I need some one to go on the following site http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/findasolicitor.law and capture the addresses and details of all the London based solicitors. The site will only list 50 companies when you do a search so the only way to capture all the information is to do a postcode (zip code) search. The following link highlights all the postcodes in the London area - http://www.milesfaster.co.uk/london-postcodes-list.htm. You will note that there at least 50 individual postcodes.
Note that some firms will appear under more than one postcode search so the data will need to be cleaned to avoid duplication.
The data that you will need to capture, in individual excel fields, from each individual firms page is listed below:
Name
Phone number
Fax number
Address line 1
Address line 2
Address line 3
Address line 4
Postcode
Number of offices
Number of solicitors and lawyers
Areas of law - Note that some firms work in about 20 different legal fields - Each area in an individual excel cell
Languages spoken - Again this could be as many as 20 for some firms - Each area in an individual excel cell
Legal aid offered
Fixed fee interview offered.
In total there are likely to be about 1,500 - 2,000 firms details that you will need to capture. Please judge for yourself how long this is likely to take, as I will agree a fixed fee with you upfront. Payment will be made on completion of the data and once I have undertaken my own spot-checks. I will do this by checking the law society website (above) to ensure the firm details are on the spreadsheet that you prepare.
