Description

I am looking for a professional, internet-savvy customer support person to work part-time on an hourly basis on answering emails.

Only individuals (not teams) will be considered for this position.

The role requires approximately 14 hours of work per week (for a total of 60 hours per month), with the goal of increasing this.

The role is strictly email-based. Ongoing duties include:

• Checking and replying to emails 3x/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year, working in the time zone you live in.
• Performing search engine research to find the answers to specific questions that are asked via email.
• Sending template answers to certain email questions.
• Creatively handling emails that come in on a range of issues. As indicated above, some answer templates will be used, but there will be a lot of improvisation.
• Helping customers with downloads
• Other related tasks

The right person...:

• Has a demonstrated history of proficiently handling customer support inquiries.
• Speaks and writes FLUENT American English – this is very important.
• Is EXTREMELY friendly over email and is committed to providing over-the-top customer service that goes way above and beyond the "norm" and to treating each and every emailer like family, like a guest in their own home, and as a VIP.
• Has an extremely stable internet connection with no connection issues, no electricity issues and no other issues which would inhibit getting online.
• Is detail-oriented, organized, creative, resourceful, reliable and takes pride in doing prompt, quality work.

The rate of pay I am looking for is $1.50 to $2.50 per hour.

Hi, I'm a native English speaker with impeccable language skills. I run my own PC repair business, which (for me) necessitated typing and keyboarding classes in high school and beyond. I can type meaningful, knowledgeable, error-free content at high rates--well over 50 WPM, all while editing my work for overall readability. Building and editing my own websites and blogs has built my word efficiency and kept my typing rate high. I can type in bursts at over 70 WPM with 95% accuracy, and my proofreading and editing skills are phenomenal. I always research everything I write, however small, paying close attention to detail, temporarily pasting my own text into MS Word or another editor for word and character counts, and am never at a loss for words myself (as you can see). I can easily turn phrases while keeping my grammar focused and simple enough for any genre of writing. In recent years, I have taken on providing my best customers, many of whom are in rural areas, with free additional phone technical support, so I have also refined my real-time web searching and navigational skills while fielding client questions 'on-the-fly'. I credit my reading comprehension skills, and also my writing prowess, to my mother, who is a retired English teacher and librarian. She read to me faithfully every night as a child, and so instilled in me a high regard for the English language. Long before I could speak, I developed an easy grasp of our 'native tongue'. Much like a child who was treated to classical music in the womb, my early exposure to my mom's voice reading to me all the time helped me realize an affinity and love of language. I should be able to help you any way you need. My PC skills make it likely I'll always have a computer available. I haven't lacked access to my own computers for a single nanosecond for over 12 years now. Plus, I also have the 'inimitable' broadband internet connection, always on, to field any emails I would need to answer as part of this job's daily obligation, and since I also have MS Office installed on this computer, any of my replies would automatically be scanned for any errant grammatical mistakes, which I'd hope are as difficult to locate as the top quark at the bottom of a box of "Cracker Jacks"! 07/2008-present Vertex Outsourcing Llc I have been employed for Vertex since July 2008. I have learned a great deal of knowledge about natural gas and customer service from the time of employment. I have met and exceeded metrics set forth within the company. Assistant Manager 3/2004 – 5/2008 Gabriel Brothers Inc., Cumberland, Maryland I was employed as an Operations assistant Manager for Gabriel Brothers. I work within a team of two other Assistant Managers and the store manager. Hello! I am very happy that I came across your ad! I would love to do this job! I am on the computer for 6+ hours a day, and on the weekends I am on practically all day, from when I wake up to when I go to sleep. I could check the emails once ever fifteen minutes when I am on the computer. Therefor, I would be checking them much more than three times a day! I would also do this for only 125 dollars per month.
