Description

This project is to copy content from an existing website into a new WordPress Blog.
However, this is not just a copy a paste exercise (apart from the text) - images will need to be downloaded and re-uploaded into WP. Various WP specific parameters will also need to be entered for each posting.

There are about 70 articles to transfer and each has on average about 500 words and 2 images. There are a few that are much longer with 6 images.

We will provide:
Login for you to use
Post URL to be copied
Post Title
Date
Category
Image Captions
Tags


Detailed description follows:

Login to WP
Create new post
Enter post title
Set date
Copy and paste the text (may need to be via a plain text editor - we want to retain the emboldening and italics etc of the original)
Save images from original article to your computer
Upload images to WP - IMPORTANT (don't just want URL to original image)
Edit image title to match article title
Add caption
First image in each post to be left aligned at top and full size
Other images alternate left and right following the layout of the original article
Split with insert more tag after end of first image
For SEO
Meta title - enter the article title
Meta desription - enter the first paragraph of the article 160-200 characters
Meta keywords - choose 10 relevant keywords from the article (including tags we provide)
Select category
Enter tags
Review and publish.
