Description: I am looking for a technical writer with docbook skills to write
documentation for our company's product. It is an IT company developing a software product. I have already put together a docbook based documentation, but it is far from professional. I need a professional technical writer to take it to the next step.

We are based in the U.S., but open to freelance writers who can work
from home, from anywhere in the world.

We are releasing our product very soon and we would like to get started on the documentation as soon as possible. Also, we have other solutions we are offering which will also require documentation. So if we are satisfied with the quality of work, there will be more projects on the way.

Documentation already exists and it contains around 6000 words. We are looking for a professional touch. Work has to be completed in 3 days.

to be honest i hardly know much to bid as you didn't tell us much about the amount of work. however, as a general rule, i usually charge abt $7 per page for rephrasing and re-aranging. i've been writing tutorials based on applications. i can provide you both links and files of the tutorials i've done so far. please PM if interested. ***Cristina***

If you already have the documentation then what you need is a good editor to make your documentation look and read like a professional writer prepared it!I am right for the job as I have 15 years of writing and editing exxperience. Do send some samples or more details about the project, i'd like to see if i can do it for a shorter amount of time.
