And, beware of sounding like an advertorial, as publishers want real quality articles that will provide knowledge and pique interest. Further, unless otherwise specified, go for 500-800 words. Now you’re ready to revise this draft! Then, construct your Resource Box, if you’ve been asked to supply one. Place this at the end of your article, providing a brief and relevant bio. Use only a few sentences and probably just one link, if permitted. Afterwards, LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE! Give it some space if you’ve got the luxury of a little time, so that you’ll return refreshed, ready to exercise constructive self-criticism. This process can really improve the quality and saleability of your article! Read it as though you were a publisher, or a vender! THIS ISN’T THE END, THOUGH! YOU NEED ONE MORE FINE-TOOTH COMB EDIT! You may be surprised at errors, awkwardness, lack of flow, etc. So, finish with the ultimate polishing job. You may find that your piece is accepted over those who just won’t perform this last and vital step! And, unlike them, you will not have wasted your time. . . .
