see the sample "Do Disney movies affect boys the same as girls? Teen age is sensitive age. Teen agers usually get affected consciously or unconsciously by the everymen and atmosphere. Media has a great role to affect the psyche of the teenagers as teenagers’ minds are in the development phase. Disney movies affect boys more than girls. This is because most of the protagonist characters of the movies are males. And it is basic rule of psychology that everybody tries to imitate somebody. Everybody tries to behave like somebody else in teen age. So boys find it easier to find personalities in the form of heroes. And they try to think, behave, eat, talk and play in the same fashion. So boys try to imitate the characters of cartoon heroes, movies heroes and heroes in the drama. On the other hand, there are not as much ideal characters for girls which they can imitate to satisfy their instincts of following their ideal personality. So, the girls are less likely to get affected by the Disney movies. Another evidence to prove the mentioned phenomenon is that when we carefully study the movies, ranging from cartoons to movies for over 18, we will find that movie revolves around the male character. The female is considered to be a weak character and is normally in the supporting role in the movies. And normally female characters are neglected while discussing movies. And most of the people discuss movies considering the male character. And there is serious problem in the most of the writers as they tend to neglect the female part. And female part is only there to create glamour, and emotional scenes. It is also studied that in 6 out of 10 action movies, the female character is caught by the enemy of the hero. It ultimately the hero, who fights with the enemy to get the heroin back. So from the above mentioned circumstances it is difficult for girls to idealize female characters as female characters are presented in a very odd way. Commonly it is believed that for a heroin of a Disney movie there are some permanent symbols. Female heroin is considered to be very beautiful, weary, undefended, physically weak and stupid enough to get trapped in the plans of the enemy. So it is unlikely for girls to adapt girl characters as their ideal. So there are little chances for girls to effect by the Disney movies. On the other hand male characters are represented in a very good manner. They are strong, handsome, cute, intelligent and sometimes sexy. All good things that can be done are done by the male characters. So boy feels pride in following their ideal characters. And they are more affected by the movies. On the other hand, girls found most of the female’s characters possessing no other quality expect beauty. So they are least affected by the Disney movies.
