Understanding the Relationship between Cell Phone Users and Service Providers. A world with security is worth living. So, how secure am I from the motive or intention of unwanted callers? Therefore, it is a corporate responsibility for phone service providers to protect the integrity of its subscriber. And to achieve this, a central database where all call activities are logged is operated. Consequently, call log can be requested with ease by the phone user from the service provider. Thus facilitates the disclosure of the caller at the other end. 2. Go the Code Way Service providers are geographically located throughout the nooks and crannies of the world. And in order to stimulate and promote regulation verification, number digit codes ranging from 2 to 9 are introduced by various approved authorities. 1 For instance, a call that originates from Oman would display at the receiver’s screen in Saudi Arabia 968 before the user’s line number. And 966 would be disclosed in United Kingdom if the call is initiated from Saudi Arabia. With this, the location of the caller is immediately identified. Although, the area code approach is more effective when fixed landlines are involved. This is so because comprehensive database is being maintained for this type of traffic. Whereas if mobile cell phone is involved, further steps will be required due to the inadequacy of database for this facility. 3. Scan the Website. This approach is more appropriate to locate the owner of a phone found in an accident scene, or perhaps picked-up by a good citizenry by the road path. Here, what is required is to input the following data into the search engine providers like Google for no real cost: type of phone, the producer, the place the phone was found, and if it’s cell phone or fixed line? And within a few seconds, the feedback could be astonishing, information like: the name of the owner of the phone, the facility subscribed (landline or mobile), the location map, address of the owner among others. But the limitation of this is that, information will only be displayed if such data has it relates to the particular phone been listed into the database of the service providers before hand, otherwise, a more specific commercial site may be consulted for positive result.2 More
