Hi! :)

We are a women's blog www.allwomenstalk.com and we are looking to hire an assistant to our editor-in-chief.

It's a long term job, with the following TASKS:

- Approve and answer comments (around 25 comments a day) - every day, except Sunday
- Put together headlines for the future posts
- Doing research for the articles on beauty/fashion
- Putting together tasks for writers
- Posting projects on Get a Freelancer and hiring new people when needed
- Contacting other bloggers
- Answering emails
- Sending daily reports

All the details and the guidelines will be provided by the editor-in-chief directly. Assistant to editor-in-chief might become an editor in 6 months after the review of the progress.

The APPLICANTS should:

- Have perfect English
- Have experience with WordPress
- Be responsible and punctual
- Be good at "women" topics, like fashion/ beauty/ love/ dieting etc. - a.k.a. - a frequent reader of women magazines :)
- Have good social skills
- Be able to work up to 5 hours a day (Monday-Friday)
- Be able to spend 1 hour on approving and answering comments on Saturday
- Have a Skype account
- Have a PayPal account

Hello (insert name), I understand the frustration, when trying to lose weight, especially around the middle :) Many books, articles and blogs tell you to excersise but that is not always for everyone. Starving yourself is the worst idea and not for the obvious reasons (hunger pains) but because it confuses your metabolism. That confusion actually adds weight to the middle area (tummy). Start by eating smaller portions throughout the day. Example; yogurt and a bannana for breakfast then have an apple or pear for mid day snack and then finish it off with a healthy dinner of fish or baked chicken and rice or sliced avacado (the starch is actually good for you in small amounts). Before bed, have a piece of dark chocolate (darker the better), it actually is a known trick in health and weight loss. Most importantly...drink tons of water with every meal/snack! Good luck to you and I know you will do fabulous with your new healthy way of living, and remember only you can control how you and others feel about yourself.

You are on the right track, but in order to lose weight you need to add cardio to your exercise routine. Cardio exercises get your heart rate up which burns calories. Experiment to find something you love and the extra pounds will melt away. Mix up your routine as well to include strength training which will build and tone your muscles and turn you into a fat-burning machine!

Our body’s metabolism rate or the rate your body’s fat burning engine works is yet to peak…it does after 21 years…and then starts declining. So you can get that slim and sexy waist really fast…simply start doing moderate to brisk aerobics (cycling, jog-even on the spot jogging will do, continuous staircase climbing and descent, swimming) for at least 20 minutes to work up a decent sweat. Then do 10 minutes of stomach and thigh toning exercise by lying down flat on a firm flat ground, raise the upper part of your body for 3 inches and then raise your outstretched legs 6inches above the ground…hold them for as long as you can-toes together and outstretched. Finally do cooling down stretch (toe-touching with knees straight and unbent + lie on ground/mat face down and raise your upper part of your body in an arch with face tilted towards ceiling and hands perpendicular to ground). Do this regularly at least 6 days in a week with a fixed workout holiday (same weekday every week). Also keep a check on your calorie intake replace fatty foods with yummy veggies & fruits and keep away from soft and hard drinks…do this for 3 weeks and I am sure you’ll fall in love with a new seductively slim you…then come back here and post your heart warming success story to motivate many more readers…send us your pics and we’ll publish them for better impact too. I almost wept when I read this project description! This is what I DO...for fun!!! Several of my articles about style have been published in our local paper with my own bi-weekly column. My personal blog is also a fun writing outlet for me!!! Sigh. I digress. To respond: First of all, you can do this! As a self-proclaimed fashionista, I hate having my clothing options curbed or feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. Having recently lost some extra pounds myself, I've found that three things were critical to my long-term success. First, hang out with healthy, like-minded people or inspire your friends with your health goals. Having a buddy along for the ride makes things fun as well as providing you with accountability. Secondly, form a daily exerecise habit that you enjoy, i.e. skip the sit ups. Walk, yoga, run, weights, volleyball...any or all...for at least 30 minutes. (Who doesn't have 30 minutes for a cute new dress?) Put it on your calendar for at least 21 days (it takes that long to form a habit). In ink. Grab an iPod and go. Thirdly, eat to fuel your body. Think of your body as a fire that needs to be stoked. Eat a balance of fruits and veggies, healthy carbohydrates, and protein throughout the day, ideally every 2-3 hours. There are a lot of food plans out there, and I love the ones that balance healthy eating with a major blow it day. What can I say? I'm Italian. In the same vein of indulgence, reward yourself with non-food items such as a gift card to your fave store or a great concert. In no time, your clothes will fit better; but more importantly, you'll be more comfortable in them knowing that you are taking care of yourself.

This is the answer to the sample post: I know sit-ups are very exhausting, but you should also take note that it doesn't really help flatten your stomach. I also personally understand how you're feeling right now, since I have been struggling with that kind of problem for some time now. So, why don't you consider my simple tips. First, gradually stop your intake of food and drinks high in calories and sugar, this include soda and chips. Second, try replacing your soda with water and your chips with fruits especially those high in fiber. Third, do at least 20-30 minutes of walking or jogging everyday with your iPod or mp3. Fourth, stop staring at your tummy as well as your weighing scale. And the last, enjoy what your doing and keep a positive outlook. =)

Thank you so much!" Sample Answer: Dear 18-yr-old-female-@-131 lbs: Wow! Consider yourself lucky being at such an accepted weight. While your expectation to lose 15 lbs is very valid, have you considered a few realities to your situation? First of all, being 18 years old as a woman, suggests that your body is probably going through many changes. Women tend to gain weight through hormonal, and normal body changes as you mature. Losing 10-15 lbs, isn't a whole lot of weight, but realistically, you want to rid of any fat, before you look at the pounds. Those pounds can be your friends, if they are solid muscle! Try a new method: drink water 3 times a day, in periods of "flushing", 8 -10 a.m., 12-2 p.m., and 4-6 p.m.. Make sure you drink about 24 oz during each period of time. Try not to eat during these times, as it will slow your metabolism a tad, by creating a big soup for your body to try and digest. You might want to try a periodic fruit flush, to jump start things, only eating low sugared fruits one day a week, or perhaps juicing one day a week. Try a salad day. The key to speeding metabolism is eating and exercise. Eating 6-8 times a day in 100-200 calorie portions is the best thing you could do for yourself. It'll keep your mood good, and energy up, and will save you from and dreaded "crashes" and binges. :) All the while, of course, making sure to get at least 30 minutes of cardio a day, go for a walk, use a treadmill/elliptical at the gym, etc. Even standing and cleaning around the house will help, and make your surroundings a little more pleasant, too. :) Remember that exercising is key - if your walk is boring, sprint, and then slow to breathe, if you're sweating, even in spurts, you're making rogress that your body is noticing. Give yourself a pat on the back for being so close to your goal weight, too. That's half the battle. Good Luck!

Sample answer Hi,I totally understand getting bored with sit ups. Have you ever tried yoga or belly dancing? Both of these activities are great for toning muscle and they are fun. If you can't take a class you can find dvds and work out at home. Another bonus of belly dancing is that it is a great confidence builder. Good luck toning up!

To start off, I am a recent graduate of Princeton University with a degree in psychology. Reporting on and analyzing 'problems' that can be solved by empirical evidence backed with anecdotal rhetoric is something that I have become very good at. As a response to your sample question: First and foremost, you need to examine your diet. You complain about what you imagine to be unsightly stomach fat...sugars are responsible for this. Coke, candy, empty calories such as chips- this all goes primarily to your stomach layer of fat. So if you want to start seeing *immediate* results- eliminate artificial sugars from your diet. The bad part- you have to eliminate artificial sugars from your diet ;) You say that you excercise and become tired and uninterested after a while. I suggest that you challenge yourself to run 5 days in a row, at the same time each day, at least 2 miles each run. What this will do is get a steady stream of endorphins running through your system, as well as up your rate of metabolism. Just 5 days of moderate excercise is enough to jump start even the most stubborn of metabolisms. Give yourself a week of work...removing sugars and forcing yourself to get up and run...and you will see the results you are looking for. (I could go into much more detail about the empirical evidence behind it all, or be less forceful and more suggestive with my answer. It is all dependent upon how you want the answer to be seen. Concise and friendly, or surgical and in your face. Different people respond positively to either situation.)

I would like to reach my "normal" weight by this holiday season. I have tried dieting, but that does not work for me...I love food, specially sweets...who doesn't? Every sunday morning I make "goal" list. I pencil in 30min of walking or dancing or wii sport (these games are so much fun specially fighting); If I work out everyday I treat myself to something special. There are days when I would much rather watch TV.....and I do; but the next day, I get back on to my schedule. I am a former journalist for a large metro area newspaper. I used to cover quite a bit of women's issues, including fashion, social events, health issues, relationship topics, parenting and more. For the past couple years, I've been involved quite a bit with blogs and online social sites, working as a copyeditor, ghostwriter and responding to the public for my manager's blog. Here is my sample/response to the comment: For starters, thanks for your comment. You sound like me and most of my girlfriends, so don't feel like you're the only one! TV ads would like you to believe that you are only a few crunches away from a flat tummy. There are some things to check out, but remember fitness is a lifestyle change, not just something we try. Start integrating more fiber into your diet to make sure your colon is cleaned out regularly. Studies show that cleansing our colon can reduce tummy bulging! Find a workout routine you enjoy that targets more than one area of your body. Dancing, running, kickboxing, pilates - any of these workouts that use your core (the muscles that make up our midsection) will improve your abs. As for what you wear, go out and buy a pair of Spanx in the meantime to help improve your self confidence. Don't beat yourself up. Hold your head up high and remember, flat tummy or not, you deserve to feel good about yourself!

I am very interested in this position. My normal hourly rate is $10 but I would be willing to start at a lower rate for a great long term relationship. I have all the qualifications you are looking for. I am available everyday to work and I subscribe to EVERY woman's magazine you could think of! To answer the sample question...are you looking for a professional answer with facts? As in should I research answers and come up with one that one? Or just go from experience? Things I already know? My sample answer would be from my own experience. I would tell her that you cant just try to do sit ups to lose weight. You need to make changes all around. One of the best things I did to get in better shape was portion control. Actually paying attention to what your eating and realizing you are eating way too much. You dont have to cut everything good out of your diet but everything in moderation. That plus a regular regimen of cardio you should see some of that weight come off. Also, for me I know exercise can sometimes be boring if you just do the same thing but you have to try to make it fun. Workout with girlfriends, somebody who can motivate you. Go for walks, go swimming, take up a fun dance class. Then it wont feel like you are working out but just having fun! I am an experienced administrative assistant, copyeditor, proofreader, typesetter, and designer, in addition to having many years of experience in an office setting (data entry, accounts payable/receivable, spreadsheets, billing, etc.). My ex-husband and I have been running our own graphic design and publishing business, Vinci-Designs & Publishing since 2005. For the past 4 years, I have been freelance copyediting and proofreading for Idea Group Publishing, Pinnacle Health Care, University Press, and many others. I have also assisted several companies doing administrative tasks, proofreading, data entry, billing, etc. I am currently working part-time for an NFL sports writer as a personal assistant researching information and photos for articles and uploading articles to online sites and blogs. Due to the current economic downturn, my workflow with our business has slowed down considerably. I am looking to almost dissolve our business and find work elsewhere. Prior to starting our business, I held a full-time position as a copyeditor/editorial assistant for Idea Group Publishing in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where I was employed for more than two years until my relocation to Florida in 2005.
