I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and am very familiar with many forms of writing and formatting text. I am very eager to have an opportunity to work on this board, but it is very hard to get your first job here! I have actually made my own template for a cookbook I have here at my house to keep my own recipes in. Literature majors are very organized to say the least! I took on what started as a very small project about a year ago so that all of my recipes would be in the same format and I could have extra copies of them in my computer in case anything was spilled on them or if anyone requested copies. The idea was to print them all off in index card size, laminate them and put them in a case for easy access. I have found since then though that it is much easier to just have them on my computer where I can search the file and pull them up! Plus, the file has become so large a collection I do not know if they make a box big enough. All that to say I know the importance of the recipes all being in the same format. People like to know where to look and what to expect. The other thing I have found helpful in my cooking that most cookbooks do not do is that I break the recipes down into more individual steps than they do. This makes it easier for newer cooks to follow. I would be happy to do this for you as well. It really is not that much more work, it just means paying attention to what you are doing. :) I will do all of this for the minimum price to just get on this board! Thank you for the opportunity! For instance if a recipe called for 1 T pepper, I would know that's an error. I can edit for spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and all of the other basic elements required for good writing. I am accurate, reliable, and easy to work with. I worked for seven years as a secretary to two writers. Duties included proofreading speeches, blurbs, press releases and an in-house magazine. I began freelancing in late 2006. Since then, I have been gaining freelance experience. In 2006, I copy edited a 55 page nonfiction manuscript with accompanying press kit. From April to October, 2007, I was a proofreader for the Society of Nuclear Medicine's newsletter. In October, 2007, I copy edited some web content. That client hired me two more times. In June of this year, I combined and rewrote two nonfiction booklets. In addition, I have written three press releases.
