I have also completed a large number of Training Courses which have been related to my job. For the past 4 years I have been working with the Connexions Service in Manchester, England. My role involved providing advice and guidance to young people in terms of their transition to adult life. I worked mainly with young people who had complex problems which acted as a barrier to them progressing successfully.
Prior to this I worked as a Tutor on a young persons Training Programme called Entry to Employment. On successfully completing my PGCE I taught on the Sport Programmes in a Further Education college. I acted as course leader for the NVQ Sports Programme and also carried out NVQ Assessments with students and worked with them to build their portfolios.
Throughout my education and working life I have worked extensively with computers and have developed excellent knowledge and skills. I am very experienced in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Mail. I have also become extremely confident in the use of Digital Photography and formatting pictures for use on Websites and Blogs. This is also the case for other types of media files such as Video and Audio.
I have recently designed and built my own website (http://www.frenzeeshiphop.com), I began the project as an Interest but have discovered that I really enjoy working on the PC. The site is a work in progress and I have developed and updated the site on a regular basis, adding new features and improving the design and look of the site. I have developed an excellent knowledge of Web Design and Development and the use of Site Building Software.
The work on my site has lead to me contributing to another site called Every Urban Thing. I have carried a number of collaborations with EUT which include Interviews with artists from the UK and US and Album Reviews. I have a number of projects lined up for both EUT and my own Site (Fren-Zees Hip Hop Site) which include Album Reviews, Concert Reviews and Interviews with UK/US Artists.
Since working on my own site I have significantly developed my PC skills in terms of typing, formatting, Importing Documents, Inserting Media, Cutting & Pasting, etc. I have also improved the design of my site through researching other sites and my improved knowledge of site building software. I am very efficient in terms of my Keyboard skills and can present information clearly and concisely in an attractive manner. As the sole creator of the site I have both designed and developed all areas of the site, this includes selecting topics, researching them and then writing up the Information for inclusion on the site. I am available immediately to complete this task.
