Description

We've just finished developing MyCampusBars.com and now the database needs to be populated. The site prompts you to enter your state and then your college campus. It should then return a list of all bars (or as many as we can find) on that campus. When you click on a bar it should list all of the specials for that bar. All of the coding is done, I just need bars and specials added to the database.

I would like (in either csv, xls or mysql format) a list of 200 bars. Each listing should include a unique bar id, the name of the bar, street address, city, state and zip. Phone, email and website are optional fields (please list them if they are available, especially the website). The unique bar id is simply a number that you use to keep track of each bar. Start with 100 and go up from there.

I would like no less than 2 bars and no more than 6 bars per campus. You can choose which campuses and which states to populate, as long as they are on our list.

I have found all of this information very easily in the past by following these steps:

1.Type in the name of the univeristy in Google, i.e. University of Delaware
2.Find out the city in which the university is located, i.e. Newark, DE
3. Type in "Newark DE bars" in Google

A list of businesses fitting that description will pop up.

For each bar that you list I would like a list of that bar's specials.

This list will be of format:
Bar Id, Special, Category, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Bar Id is the id from that you created in the first part of the assignment. Special is a string of text, something like "4PM-9PM, Half Price Wings".
Category is either food,drink or entertainment. Monday - Sunday are all either 0 or 1. If a special occurs every tuesday and thursday, then tuesday and thursday should have 1s and the rest 0s. If a special only occurs on one specific day then only that day should receive a 1. If it is a happy hour special, M-F will all receive 1s.

Drink specials are the most important, as we envision that being the focal point of the site. If a site has hundreds of specials, just put the happy hour ones and any ones that seem unique. The idea is to fill as many campuses with bars and specials as possible in the smallest amount of time. We don't want errors, but if there are a few specials missing from a few bars that is fine.

If the winning bidder does a good job, he/she will be offered approximately 10 times this workload upon completion. The budget for each set of 200 bars completed successfully will grow. You help us and we will help you right back.

Winning bidder will be presented with an example excel spreadsheet so that they don't have questions on the format.

Preference will be shown to those that can complete the task in the smallest time frame. We would like this done in a couple of days, and have about a month worth of these projects total.

My estimated workload for this is about 13 hours.
