Description

This project calls for the parsing, locating and replacement of links in HTML text.

HTML text will be passed to the script in a ColdFusion variable along with a starting link number. The script will parse the HTML locating each link and replacing it with a redirect (/redirect.cfm?ID =linknumber.) The first link replaced would be [starting link number], the second [starting link number] + 1, etc.

For each link replaced, the original URL of the link would be stored in a CF array. The links would be assocated back to the link numbers in the replaced HTML text.

A second script would reverse the process. An array would contain the original links that were parsed. A CF variable would contain the text with the redirect links. The script would parse the text and restore original links back into the text.
