Description

I am a real estate broker and I have had a web site up for 9 years. It is a download of our Mulitiple Listing Services (MLS)homes that meet my specific criteria. I want only homes built in 2008, 0r 2009( this changes annually) that are listed over 300,000.I have an auto down load of the data dailey, then the software parces the data and posts it on my admin page. I then look at each new listing, approve it, then load up the pictures for that listing. A year ago we changed MLS providers , and I had the code revised to be compatable with the new field names. The problem arose that the houses worked, but the lots do not load. For some strange reason, it seems that a few old lot listings are showing, but not the complete list. So I want to hire a programmer that can look into the code, get to know what we are doing, then act as programmer as needed. I want to clean up this site, then clone it for other areas- like Houston, etc. All the origional programming was done by students at a local college, then I turned it over to a professional, but he found full time work and left town. I am in a jam. Once I solve some primary problems, I will consider re-writing this program in a better language. But FIRST, I must get my problems solved. Do not quote a re-do until I clean up this program.HELP. Michael

I am a ColdFusion guru. You will not find a better language for your application. :) I have done real estate listing sites before. My bid is rather loose since the full scope is not known. Let's talk and get this moving for you. http://www.donomite.com (I will show some sites on request in private)

Hello, I am not quite sure exactly what to quote but if it doesn't turn out to be something to in depth I can reduce my final invoice. I have a ton of experience in MLS. At my day Job I have worked with RETS and FTP File Downloads of the MLS data, I have tapped into the Southern NJ MLS, 5 MLS's in the Carolinas, 1 in Florida and started a project with Point2, but was taken off of that one for awhile. I am available by Regular Phone, Email, Skype or any other IM program. I am in NC. Also you do not need to worry about redoing your website in another language. Coldfusion is growing by leaps and bounds and they now have open source CFML servers so it will only continue to grow in popularity, and with a programmer like me who specializes in CF, you'll never have to go anywhere else. I have worked extensively with MLS and custom coding. I had a client in San Diego who would do what you are doing. He did an auto download of the files, we imported them in a database and then I built the code in ColdFusion to output properties on his site, so I am very familiar with the process, I am also very good at troubleshooting issues. I have been doing web development for over 13 years. I would love to help you out on this project. Thanks! Kelly Matthews

Hi There, I'm a ColdFusion developer with 8 years commercial experience living in reading UK. I've worked with a number of large scale ColdFusion, database driven websites in the past. This sounds like a problem with import field names not matching what the import code expects for lots. I'm sure I would be able to fix this and get you back on track fairly quickly. I'm happy to take a quick look at the data and code and give you a more accurate idea of effort involved. Please feel free to get in touch.
