the goal is a simple time tracking application that can be used from a thumb drive, or as a client server application.
Configuration file should be a plain text file or XML file
Database should be either MSACCESS, Flat Text File, or XML
Should be 2 different Modes that can be ran "Basic" or "Onsite" Basic only provides timestamps, Onsite also includes Client Name
Should Contain a AutoCheck for missed log-outs, if application starts, and the last timestamp shows a user is still logged in, after a specific #of hours will automatically prompt to verify user should still be logged in, if the user says it was a mistake it should ask user to select time & date that should have been logged out create the entry, then allow the user to continue with a login.
Application should run from the SysTray.
if Name is NOT configured in the configuration file should ask for the name, and write it to the "current-user.txt" file for the remainder of the session.
Attached is some examples, as well as a sample MSAccess format.
For the 1st stage, I don't need the network functionallity to work, I want just the Basic function, (ability to run from a thumb drive), this will be used as a proof of concept.
I only have 45 available for this at this time. if I get approval for the remainder of the project we can work on the more advanced features.
