Description

Skillprover is the UK's premier online skills testing portal to improve the quality control of interview candidates to the UK’s IT industry. We are a company established in 2005 with a mission to improve the skills and suitability verification process of job applications.

We are looking to develop a very thin SDI Chat client (JobChat) in C++ with the following requirements:

> Must be written in MFC/C/C++
> Must be standalone (not require installation, just the EXE)
> Use Sockets and the ODBC API
> Record the dialogue

The developer must be extremely proficient in windows socket programming and would ideally be conversant with the ODBC API. Once the EXE file is downloaded off a site and run, the following summary actions will occur:

> Prompt for a Job Chat Reference, Name and Email address
> Connect to an ODBC Database (Access, initially)
> DB gives an IP and known port number (if available)
> Connect to the IP

JobChat will be the piece of P2P software that allows job seekers to participate in remote real-time interviewing and is part of Skillprover UK’s strategy to be the no.1 advanced candidate testing company.

A functional specification is provided, but the database side of the application is still under development. The application main window will look similar to msn window.

Due to budget constraints, only bids in the region of US$400 will be taken seriously.
