Hi, Greetings. Since this project is to block HTTP/HTTPS ports alone and allow others, we need a packet filtering mechanism. seeing your requirement, Windows XP & Vista along with Windows 7 had different standards for packet filtering which are not backward compatible. so we need to build the same GUI with different backends supporting platforms. these can be Firewall Filter Driver(Win XP & 2000) & WFP(Vista & Win 7). please see PM for more info. It is not clear what the set up is. Are you talking about client(s) on LAN and server(s)/controller(s) on the same LAN controlling client's network/internet access? Or are you after controlling network/internet access of stand alone clients? Depending on what exactly you want these are two completely different applications. The first can be easily achieved by using proxy and proxy rules (no need for client app at all). The second is "remote control" and depends on types of client connection/client OS and many other variables...
