Description
We have a windows console program that does some real time GPS calculation.The program reads in a XML like configuration file, loading the data from files and then start a 1s interval caculation untill interupt. It output some information to the console every second.
Now we want a GUI wrap for this console program using Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and MFC.
Basically these are what you need to do:
[1] Write a MFC SDI framework based program WITHOUT document-view stuff! we don't want too much unnecessary burden from document-view structure, we already have all the file/data reading manipulation classes ready for use.
[2] The program should be a multi-thread one, one is for the main GUI, the others will be the calculation themselves.
[3] You need design a dialog window class which let user set up all the configuration data. Initially, the program will read in the default or existing configuration file and store in the program, and then if use change the setting, it will be saved to this configuration file as well.
[4] The program'sview class should based on the formview class. There will be one textout window in the top of the view window, this will output the 1 second overall processing result. And there will be one list control on the left, it will list all the GPS stations reading in. and on the right side, would be a big text output window as well, when user select one station from the left list, it will show the 1 second detailed processing result for this station.
[5] Don't worry about any GPS calculation, data file reading, we have done them already, we have classes for configuration, data, file, output, etc. What you have to do is desian the multi-thread GUI interface with good performance.
[6] If possible, suggest us how to setup a communication interface with other program ( this program will output 1s interval data to a local hosting port).
Pretty much everything. One more thing, we are not experienced MFC programmer, we only deal with ANSI C++, so if you can use the less MFC structure, the better.
