I currently head the build process of my company's product. I usually use WIX (Windows Installer XML) to deliver the package as a msi file. I have already made builds for products which required the following features and a decent User Interface 1. Shorcuts 2. Installing in Particular folder in Program files 3. installing in any arbitrary folder 4. Edit xml config files 5. Wild card copy 6. Virtual Directory setup 7. IIS version check 8. Installing in any website, other than a default website 9. Installing and removing services 10. Registry Entries 11. Upgrades 12. Custom Installation 13. Rebranding 14. Silent Installation (Installing from command prompt) 15. Custom actions 16. SQL server database installation Lastly the Uncompressed MSI. which means, you can have the installer uncompressed, the biggest advantage here is. if u make a bug fix,update in already existing file(dll ocx, exe or any file) in installer, you can replace the file manually and install it with the latest files, and no need to package it again. Gosh, why would you need a company to do this? There are umpteen free packaging softwares available which do amazing job of packaging/setup. This is just one script-writer's job for a couple of hours given the right specifications.
