Description

I have a challenge that would be very easy for someone who knows what they're doing.

Basically, I need a simple application that will send two commands to a serial port COM1 based on a schedule I could change.

The commands would need the ability to be edited and it would have to work on a COM port that is being used by another application.

The COM port is not share-able, so if an application uses this COM port, you cant use it for another application. The only way is to create a virtual com port which will take over the current com port and present a virtual port for another app.

Communications over a serial link cannot be shared! My proposal is creating a "chained" COM port, that is a virtual COM port (say, COM8) that you can point your original application to, which is monitored by our program and forwards everything to COM1, plus adding the outputs you need to occur, with your schedule.
