Description

I have a very simple job of data entry with matching from separate files in Excel.
There is a file with IBES identifiers, and a file with COMPUSTAT identifiers.
In the IPOdatabase file, you need to take each IPO firm and find it on the COMPUSTATid file, and paste:

GVKEY SMBL cik CNUM

columns next to the name.
For the same firms, from IBES datafile, you need to paste

CUSIP/SEDOL "IBES Ticker Symbol" "Official Ticker Symbol"

next to the name.
