I have read your latest post on Message board which clarifies most of questions.
We are expert in QT (by Trolltech now owned by Nokia) and would like to reengineer the application from cobol to QT and C++ which will be easy for future maintainance because of the strong OOPS followed by QT. Also QT is platform independent and you can literally compile the code in any platform like Windows, Linux, Solaris etc.
Moreover QT supports the internationalization which will be very handy to translate to other languages.
