Description: We have developed a web application that needs to interface with a USB RFID reader. Users are given RFID key fobs - each has a unique serial number.

When a user swipes their RFID key fob, we need to pass the unique ID data string into their web browser - preferably trigger a javascript command or (last resort) redirect to a new page passing the unique ID in the query string. This is not being used for security reasons - therefore I am not concerned if it gets passed in the query string.

I need someone to develop a solution to this problem - maybe an ActiveX control or something lightweight that sits in the system tray? I do not want the user to have to install anything out of the ordinary such as the .NET 2.0 framework unless it is extremely lightweight and foolproof.

All computers will be running Windows XP or higher - and will be using IE 6 or higher. I will send you an RFID reader and a couple key fobs for testing.

Payment will be made in full upon completion and delivery of all source files. Please be specific about the solution you are proposing in your bid - do not bother bidding the max, because this is far from a $1500 project. I would prefer a US-based developer on this one.
