Description: I am looking for someone to create a simple GPS based C# windows application.

Software developed using Micsoft Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 that will interface to a SQL Server database.

This software must run on a PC initially but will need to be converted eventually to a windows mobile device. Please bear this in mind when creating this software.

The software will be used to show points of interest on a map that are within a certain radius and within a boundary of the current GPS position.

The software must do the following:

[1] Receive GPS data and display the current GPS position on a map embedded into the application. The maps can be google maps or microsoft maps or an alternative. Please discuss this with me.

[2] Insert gps locations into a SQL database by clicking on the map.

[3] Compare current GPS position with any positions from the sql database that are within a certain radius.

[3] Compare current GPS position with any positions from the sql database that are within a boundary.

[5] Drawing a shape on the map will convert this boundary into locations that will be inserted into the SQL database and will be linked as a boundary.

[6] Show a compass of the current GPS position.

[7] Show distance and direction to the position form the database.

[8] Configure the radius and edit the boundaries and locations that have been saved to the database.

[9] Waypoint Creation and waypoint playback.

This project will lead to a 2nd phase so there will be plenty of work in the future.
