Description

Hi to all.
I need a simple console application, running on WindowsXP Embedded, developed with VisualStudio2005 in C# or C++.

The application must show a PDF file on a large portion of the whole screen and must be used in order to easily browse file and directory and print the current PDF file.

The application must cover completely the desktop, in order to prevent access to others application and, must not have resize or exit buttons.

Starting from a predefined root directory on a LAN, the application must navigate, through two buttons, the whole subdirectories showing on a text box the current directory name. The navigation order should select first the first subdirectory of the predefined root, then, after the last subdirectory is reached, it must start with the first sub-subdirectory and so on. The first button follows this navigation order, the second the opposite one.

Two additional buttons allow the PDF file selection inside the current directory; the file name must be shown on a text box and the PDF file content must be shown as large as possible after 2 seconds of buttons inactivity – in order to minimize network load - . A scroll bar must be used in order to scroll pages of PDF file. No others buttons from Adobe application etc. must be visible on screen. In case of no file selected i.e. the current directory as no PDF file inside, a logo or a default PDF must be shown instead of current PDF file.

A last button must activate a local printer, in order to print the current PDF document, without showing any print dialog pop up. In case of no file selected, print errors i.e. paper jam or tray empty, the print button should be grayed and has no effect.

After 5 minute of inactivity, the application must go to navigation starting point, i.e. select first subdirectory and first PDF file if any.

An external text file must contain all application parameters i.e. 2 seconds, 5 minutes, root directory, etc.
The deliverable must be a VisualStudio buildable project, well commented in order to be easily customizable by a beginner programmer.

I already have desktop (not console) application very closer to your requirements. Application is written using .NET 3.5. Main features are: 1. Full screen mode (cover task bar, Start button, etc). 2. Ability to browse through subfolders. 3. PDF file printing. 4. Current open pdf-file auto change (go to next file in folder). 5. Navigation in folders. 6. Working with local file system (hard drive, shared folders; not remove files using FTP or other protocol). I can redesign this app to meet your requirements.
