Description

I need a PIC programmer to write the software for an audio project. The project is to use a PIC to control digital potentiometers and display the level. The user input will be via standard potentiometers connected to analogue inputs on the PIC. The PIC will determine the position of the pot and move the digtal pots accordingly, then display positional information to the user on a simple display (LED or similar). The PIC will need to make use of the I2C busses to control the digital pot and display. The digital pot is a dual-gang device and pressing a button will lock/unlock the two gangs so that they work independently or seperately. I have no experience in PIC programming and just don't have the time to learn. I have gathered together blocks of code for the I2C protocols from the internet, but these are obviously freely available to anyone. Further work with PIC programming will be available in the future (all small projects). A good understanding of displays, analogue, and digital controls is essential. The code will need to be de-bugged and stable. A prototype PCB with all components fitted and sockets for PICS will be provided. The IC's and displays to be useed are not set-in-stone, so I am open to making changes if necessary.

Hi ! I've done a lot of projects with PIC/ATMEL, LCD, I used I2C/SPI/UART/1 Wire. I personnaly recommend ATMEL because are cheaper, the architecture is better, etc but the PICs are ok to me too. I actually did an application with digital volume control and LCD (Nokia 3310 LCD) - it was fully digital but I can read potentiometers too without any problems. Best Regards Horia Pop

Hello I use MPLAB assembly language. If I can gather a board with the same or at least equivalent ICs I will test the board against requirements(not always everything can be found available on a stock here,if not there might be large delivery time - and simulation need to be involved). Best Regards

From the details posted able to understand that a solution for a digitially contorlled level controller. I have prior expereince of developing similar solution using PIC 16F74. I need some information regading the PIC chip which is being used also need information on OS and Tools required for development. If we get a write-up about the exact or proposed requirment will be help full to provide full estimation.
