Hello,

I am looking for a PIC programmer to work on microprocessor control for a stereo integrated amplifier. The amplifier has to forms of user input – an IR receiver capable of receiving PHILLIPS/SONY standard protocols, and an optical rotary encoder. These inputs will control volume chips, various relays and a RGB LCD array. A lot of existing code for the devices is online so I am really looking for someone to stitch usable current code together, and write fresh code for remaining devices and overall system connectivity. Finally the successful applicant must debug the system thoroughly, allowing for long term user reliability.

The LED Array consists of 32 RGB SMD LEDs. The array gives the user feedback via position and color. Apart from overall system integration, this will probably be the most difficult part of the project. The LEDs will scroll across the bar indicating source selection and volume position, as well as other similar information.

The successful applicant will have experience in PIC programming and some practical experience of implementing PIC prototypes. I have little experience in this area, so I need someone who can help spec the PIC chips and driver ICs if necessary. Any experience in laying out logic boards, or PCBs in general would be very useful.

There will be further work for the successful candidate if this project can be completed to satisfaction.
