We need a calendar almost similar to google’s calendar http://www.google.com/calendar
Design is not needed, we will implement this ourselves. To keep things easy, below is a list with functions that we don’t need and what extra’s we want. All of this compared with Google calendar

What we don’t need:
4 days view
In the settings there doesn’t have to be a custom view setting
In the settings there doesn’t have to be show current timeline
In the settings there doesn’t have to be location
In the settings there doesn’t have to be weather
In the settings there doesn’t have to be a notification tab.
In the settings there doesn’t have to be a mobile phone setup
In the Agenda settings there doesn’t has to be an option to embedded the agenda into a webpage.

What we want extra in our calendar:
Above the time line there must be a button to add an additional time zone line beside the default timezone line. For example the time in New York.

If another user adds an agenda item in an agenda that is shared with someone then in the left bottom corner this new item must be shown. (Just a short description of the item with the possibility to click on view more..)

Option to add a to-do item with a reminder when it reaches the date/time.

An extra module, reached by a button in the calendar where users can plan a new meeting with multiple users. They can fill in (if desired) multiple date/time options and choose friends from their contactlist. Their friends get an invitation by email and can vote for the different dates/time options. If the closing time is reached (setting when creating invitation) then the creator can choose the best available date. Then that date is put in the agenda from the creator and all other users that have a calendar. All votes have to be displayed as graphical chart bars. (More info in the specification doc)

Birthdays. Extract from users contactlist.

The main attention is speed. When a user click from one month to another then all the items have to load quickly. Also when a user drags en drops an item to another date or timeframe it only has to reload that item and not all other items. (resize, remove like google calender)

There are more things different from google’s calendar but those are small thing like behaviors en screen positions. The website needs to be coded in PHP/MySql and ajax techniques (ie. mootools, prototype or whatever suits for the project). It should be scalable, no hardcoding of functions and able to handle a large number of user accounts.
This is a time sensitive project, and it must be completed within 3-4 weeks to our specifications. Must also be able to start ASAP.
After a reasonable bid we will send you the complete specifications and then you can look again if the bid is correct.
