Description

We have a 513 line cgi routine that parses input text into many different variables. This needs to be rewritten in php. When the code is rewritten, all php variable names should be the same as the original cgi variable names.

We have several variations of the input text so we need a php form that can be used to test different input variations. The php form needs a textarea box for the input and a submit button. When the user presses the submit button all the variables should be shown along with their values. For example:
$x=123
$y=456
$z=789

It will be helpful if the programmer has an understanding of poker.

Depending on the used parsing solutions it may take from 5-10 days. Regexps usually hard to understand, other techniques are more easier. Do You have a rough explanation of how it works?
