Description

I will give you some background on the project, and then you can post any questions that you have.

I am a PHP, Python, MySQL programmer and while I can do the basics with Google Maps, I need someone to add some extra flair and functionality.

I am creating a mapping site, the site is here: http://www.aquaculturedata.com/index.html, as you can see there are lots of data points on there and there could be several thousand by the time we have researched the whole of Europe.

We need the following functions built:

1. Grouping/ clustering of data points

Like http://www.fastfoodmaps.com/ (ideally the icon size is in proportion to the number of points in the cluster). On the first view it would be ideal to have one icon per country, which when clicked zoomed you into that country

2. Animate the icon if it is clicked
Again like http://www.fastfoodmaps.com/

3. Multiple icons
Is there a solution to show multiple icons if they are on the same point?

I will be expecting clean, reusable code, so only bid if you feel you can deliver.
