First, please note that, since you have not indicated the number of hours or interviews you'd like to have transcribed for this particular project, I'm not able to give you an exact bid for the total project, nor the exact number of days it would take to complete the project. My actual bid is as you've indicated - $100 per every 10 hours of audio transcribed. I am an extremely competent transcriber, and use this skill to provide instant graphic transcriptions for Late-Deafened and Hard-of-Hearing clients in my work as Graphic Interpreter (aka Computerized Note-taker). I have been doing this work for nearly 15 years, in as many settings as you could imagine - from courtrooms to lecture halls to clinics. I also use my skill in my work as a Journalist and Biographer, transcribing audio files from interviews to text. I am a capable keyboardist, and have a keen ear for dialogue, accents and language quirks (such as the uh's you mention). I would love to work with you on this project! Because I am accustomed to transcribing for long periods of time - in classrooms and boardrooms for Deaf clients - I can easily accomplish 4 hours of audio transcription in a single sitting. | I can begin with 3 audio hours to see how this project goes. I have brief experience transcribing wma 5 minute audios. The experience is brief because the employer discontinued the project due to personal reasons. I do have 4 years experience transcribing meetings from a dictaphone machine. The number of days to complete is a very rough estimate. 1 audio hour should actually take about an hour or possibly a little longer. I hope to receive your audio that you are offering to transcribe at no charge so that you get an idea of the quality of work you will receive. I have recently retired and I am trying to find a new source of income to work from home. I hope to receive the opportunity to work for you.

| I am extremely interested in this bid. I have been looking for online work that I can perform while staying home with my kids. I have never done any transcribing before (except as a teen I would transcribe song lyrics word for word) I have always done well in english, grammar, and spelling.
