Hi there, I see there are already plenty of bids on this project and I hope mine arrives before you have made your decision. My name is Chris Sentman and I own Webovator.com. I am also a graduate of Broadcast Center in St. Louis, MO. I would be more than willing to work with you here and I fully understand your needs, having been trained in voicework and audio production. I ended up pursuing a degree in IT after I got my broadcasting certificate, so I never did work in radio, but I did DJ at clubs and large scale events for several years. I know that you are looking for vocal talents that are 1) American, 2) free from regional dialect, 3) use a wide range of inflection, not monotone, and 4) sound as if they were natural and not just being read from a script. How this is accomplished is by imagining that you are talking to an actual person. Many radio stations create a fictional character, male or female, with a name, age, workplace, hobbies, and family structure that is representative of their target market. Then they tape pictures up of a person who resembles that fictional character, so while the DJ or on air personality is talking, they imagine that they are actually talking to that person, not talking to a few thousand faceless listeners. Another trick that increases the quality of a good vocal track, is by forcing the person talking to smile really big while they talk. The listener can actually pick up on the change in pronunciation, even without visual cues, because of the way the mouth produces the sound, being different when the lips are pulled back into a smile. Many successful telemarketers use this technique as well as radio people. Anyways, I won't waste any more of your time. I hope you select my bid, and look forward to hearing your response.
