GAF Project – Holiday Rentals Bookings Module

Specifications:

We operate in the Property Industry providing Office Management Systems for both realty and letting purposes and, website services. We also run our own property portal.

In our Rentals Management software, we presently have a bookings module that allows for upto 6 bookings to be stored for each of the properties in the rentals pool. These bookings are also able to be shown in a colour coded calendar showing 12 months at a time. The relevant module is based on VB6 not VB.Net and we do not wish to change to VB.Net at this time.

This bookings module works together with our Tenant Profiling Module which allows for the Tenant’s requirements for their holiday to be entered into into an MS Access database ie Province, Area, Suburb, Type of Accommodation, No. Bedrooms, Bathrooms, En Suite Bathrooms, Garages, Swimming Pool, Security, etc. Also, you can enter the Rental range that the Tenant can afford to pay. This information is then profiled against the properties in the rentals pool to find which properties match the Tenant’s requirements.

In our present modules, we have certain limitations namely:

1. The number of bookings is finite and needs to be more flexible.
2. Presently, we can’t run Rental Availability Reports that will list properties in the rentals pool that are available to be let out taking all the aforementioned parameters into account and especially, the rental price range and availability (dates when the properties have NOT been booked).
3. Our colour coded calendar is also limited to 12 months at a time and is time consuming to maintain.
4. We don’t presently have a colour coded calendar capable of being displayed in our clients’ websites.

You are required to be knowledgeable in the following areas:

1. VB6 not VB Dot Net.

2. ASP not ASP Dot Net.

3. Crystal Reports Ver 11.0.

4. MS Access.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH SIMILAR APPLICATIONS IN THE PROPERTY INDUSTRY WILL BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT WHEN AWARDING THIS PROJECT.

ESSENTIAL Other Requirements: Contactable on Skype for talking and Yahoo for chat purposes. We also use Team Viewer and LogMeIn for communicating with Providers who must have a good command of English.
