Description

We require an experienced and efficient ASP Programmer to make the following modifications to a classified ad system (the script has been custom built):

1. The script has been uploaded to the hosting server but does not work. Prior to this the script was on a testing server and worked. It was then passed to us and we made some small modifications (i.e design). The reason why the script does not work is to do with the include functions (SSI's). Your first task will be to make the script work.

We need the script working so we can test it fully (any amendments after our testing will be advised to the developer and a SEPARATE FEE will be agreed - therefore you are only bidding for the work outlined here).

2. Your second task will be to make the website CSS and W3C compliant

3. Your thrid task will be to make the website SEO optimised (this can be done right at the end).

4. Your 4th task will be as follows: The website contains a Ads By Email function. Users sign-up to this services by selecting categories they are interested in. When an ad get's added to the webiste, an automatic email gets sent to the subscriber. We need to make some mods to this:

a: Now the script limits sign-up to 4 parent categories only - we need to unlimit this.
b: the sign-up boxes for this are on the template (it looks messy. Therefore, we need to move it a new page and make it very presentable.
c: The email that gets sent to the subscriber is messy. It needs to be HTML.
d: currently, someone who is subscribed to this service cannot cancel their subscription (i.e there is no link to do so).Admin has to cancel their subscription to this service.

5. Your fifth task will be add a WYSIWYG editor to the newsletter function in admin. The current neswletter fucntion does not let you select whom to send emails to i.e individuals, lists etc)

NOTE - THE SCRIPT HAS BEEN BUILT TO OUR SPECIFICATION. WHAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DO IS 1-5 ABOVE IN A SHORT TIMEFRAME. THIS IS THE SPEC AND WE WILL ONLY EXPAND ON IT TO PROVIDE CLARIFICATION.
