| Description: |
Looking for an expert .NET coder for whom this project is a piece of cake.
I need a site written in C# that allows users to upload, rate and comment on files. The site will be a database of mods for a game Oblivion.
It must be well-written in C#, with SQL 2005 back-end, with emphasis on high-traffic performance and security. That means as few DB trips as possible, and efficient and secure coding. I am a coder myself (with little time) so please don’t slack, I will know if the coding is sloppy.
You will be coding an exact copy of this site: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.List&game=4
The site should have ALL the exact functionality of the site above, with only differences provided in the following list:
- Tables should have separate columns for title and author, and be sortable by them.
- Tables should also contain ratings and number of downloads, and be sortable by them.
- Rating should stay undefined until there are at least 25 votes.
- The site should have a home page. The home page should contain an alphabetical list of mod categories. Visitors can click on a category and be taken to a table containing mods from that category.
- The home page should also contain lists of top 25 most downloaded files, top 25 top rated, top 25 newest, top 25 recently updated, and 25 random mods.
- There should be an admin page that lets me define and edit mod categories, as well as edit or delete any mod, user, or comment. There should also be an option to delete a user along with all his mods and comments.
Other thoughts:
You are not doing any graphics; therefore use clear invisible tables. Preserve the layout of the sample site.
And finally, the most important requirement worth reiterating, all of the functionality of the sample site must be present in my site. Preview images, search, etc, etc. Every last detail should be mirrored exactly.
If you have any questions, contact me. You will need to provide a working online demo before payment. Then you will also have to provide an empty SQL 2005 database file that will be used with your aspx files.
Final thoughts:
Files can be large (300mb+), make sure timeout is not an issue.
