Bid On This Project

Description

Hello I’m looking for someone to urgently rescue and finish a project which is now long overdue and unfinished by a previous developer who could not manage to get the project working on my hosting site.

The project files created to date are available to download. They are in .net with SQL support I’m told but have been created with the code behind technique which is not supported by my web host. The project needs converting to work with on my hosting service.

The completed project must work on the following hosted website with the detailed supported features only.

Host provider is http://www.netfirms.com/web-hosting/web-hosting-compare/

Host features are:
Windows 2003 server
ASP.net 2.0
1 x MS SQL Database

Full payment will be made only on delivery of a fully working project. Please only bid if you have the skills to complete this. No timewasters please. All questions answered. Thanks for looking.

Below the original project specification can be seen

“Hello,

I’m looking for a series of web pages to display short movie clips as described below.

In total there will be 254 main pages with QuickTime movie clips sourced from folders labeled 000-253.

Each main page will have a unique title displayed at the top of the page.

Each page will have 255 slots which need to refer to movies numbered 000-254. Any movie numbered in this manner placed into the relevant folder will have its first frame displayed here as a still image. By clicking on the still image the movie will play.

Each main page will have sub-pages so that each single page can display 5 movies across by 5 movies down up to the maximum 255 and each needs a link to the next/last page in the sequence and a direct link to page number 1,2,3, etc. and finally an indication of page number currently shown such as 1/10 etc.

The file name i.e. “000” etc. is to be displayed under each clip. Other than the unique title name all pages will be identical visually.

If there is no clip in the relevant folder a generic text such as “empty” will be displayed.

If possible where there are whole pages of “empty” slots these would not be shown in the above page numbering so that a main page with 3 movies would show 1/1 and the links would not be clickable for pages 2-11. When movies are added to the folder each page would be added as required so that if the folder contained 26 movies 2 pages would be active etc.

Some slots may be occupied by still jpg images and not QuickTime movies. These should be identified to the page visitor and should not be clickable to play the movie. Please note this needs to be flexible as movies and stills may alter at any time.

I will supply all movies but will need advice as to the best possible format. The pages need to load extremely quickly. Some encoding may be required.

This web site will indicate the kind of thing I’m looking for: http://www.digitaljuice.com/products/products.asp?pid=107&tab=t3

Design wise all text should be MS Sans Serif in white with a black page background. The clips will change from time to time so the page needs to load them every time to ensure they are up to date. For future maintenance I need to be able to simply drop new clips into the appropriate folders.

I’m listing this as a small project because I don’t think it’s terribly complicated, if a little repetitive. Please let me know if I’m wrong!

Any queries please ask!”
