Description

Overview

To Develop a CMS to link onto the website that allows the end user to add / edit and remove vehicles and to apply the new look design.

The CMS will link up to a VRM (vehicle registration mark) lookup supplied by a third party which will populate the vehicles data automatically.

The site is to be developed on the server in a test area and then to replace the current live site.

The way we see the site working is a user logs in, types in the registration number, this populates the relevant data, they then upload an image, choose which category the vehicle is to be displayed in (categories on design), types in some information about the car for example “good clean car, 1 lady owner” and then clicks add with another other option is to display the congestion charge logo if the vehicle is congestion charge exempt.

We also need an upsell /cross sell option to have “vehicles like this” so we can add (for example) another 3 cars that are similar to the vehicle they are looking at. Like how amazon.com works.

When the customer has taken a deposit we would also like the ability to go back in to edit the vehicle to mark it as sold. So on the front end it would strike through the price and next to it would be ‘sold’.

The new look site design will be supplied as a layered PNG. We have an EXTREMELY tight deadline on this project of 7 days.
