Description:	Foot Scanning Program Job Description: We need a web base program to scan peoples feet. The program will download to the local system but all data will be save on our server not there local computer. But when their computer is offline we want them still to be able to input patients and scan feet. When they reconnect the files can be uploaded. The program will need to be auto updated when ever we make changes the user is updated the next time they login. We want a doctor be directed to a website and set up an account. We want the system to auto generate a unique pin number. This pin number will then unlock the software to be run on what ever computer they are using. One important feature is the ability to use any computer to login in with and all data that has been uploaded will be available. Build a webbase software to work on all plat forms including windows vista. 2. User will set up an account and down load the software. 3. User will be given a pin number auto generated. We can then disable that account anytime by some sort of admin tool. An email should be sent to us to approve the new account. The email sent for approval will have all the users info logically displayed with a link to approve the new account. Once approved the user will get there new pin number. 4. Program will need a report option so the user can easily view what they have uploaded by user definded dates. 5. Bonus! Any programmer that thinks they can create a auto analysis of the feet will get the job first. This would include: a. After scanning the bmp file display it in a cool color scheme to hide that it is just a bmp file. Upload the file in the real bmp file format. b. Graphical differences between the weight and non weight bearing scans of each foot. To help illustrate to customers the changes in the foot. c. Recognize and measure key points of the foot. i. Auto rotate the image to be straight. If scanned upside down then fix it. ii. Heel width, Ball of foot width, arch length iii. Arch type: low arch, normal, high arch ( this is easy to identify and we will show you what to look for.) Arch Fitters is a company that makes arch support for doctors across the nation. To keep it simple we mail a doctor a regular flat bed scanner that is cased in a special container so a person can stand on it. We currently have a software which I have attatched that scans a person foot and allows a doctor to choose the type of orthotic and options. They then upload it to our server. We make the product and then ship it back the next day. Our equipement: USB Micro tech flat bed scanner model S450. Custom program to use flat bed scanner to take images of the foot. 1. scan the foot standing and sitting. 2. scan ever foot at 72 dpi. 3. Our receiving server is sql 2003 4. Current program written in MS .net Our process: 1. input the patient into the software 2. scan each foot weight and non weight bearing. 3. select the desired options and add special notes. 4. upload to sql server.
