Description

I have a page called Events.aspx that is populated by an xml document. It shows up to 3 of the upcoming events as long as the date is valid and not expired (there currently are 5 events in the xml doc).

Project task:
I run into issues when less than 3 upcoming events are valid. This naturally occurs because time passes and events are no longer valid. The page cannot resolve and crashes my server. I am looking for someone to correct the problem.

Ideally I would like my page to show one of two scenarios. 1) show only 3 events if there are more than 3 valid upcoming events, OR 2) show the actual number of valid upcoming events if less than 3 events are valid (example: if only 2 valid events, allow the code to resolve, disregard the 3 events setting, and show the 2 upcoming events).

I am not a coder, so the solution requires basic notation in code describing how the the problem is being resolved.

I use this coding in multiple applications and need the continue to have the ability to change the 3 to whatever limit I want (ie 4, 6, 8). I am able to do that now with EventLimit in Events.aspx.cs. The solution needs to continue to provide the ability to change the limit and still not have a bug if valid events fall short of the limit. Thanks.
