These Ingenico, Verifone, etc devices have its own SDK. So, we should have an access to their SDK and then wrap it into our own code. This is the hardest part. The rest will be easier. I have an offer if we could slice the project into smaller ones, such as stage #1 for Ingenico, #2 for Verifone, etc.

I have been developing communications solutions(hardware, software and firmware) for the last 5 years and have products in the market that deal with SMS/GPRS for the POS system if the terminal has a communication channel open and a protocol to use, that would be enough to start taking to it. The older system use RS232 so we could use C#, C++ or embedded apps. to talk to it. Once we have the comms. done the rest is more straight forward.
