Description

We require a profile system for our wordpress website promoting music artists (similar to MySpace)

This can be done either through Wordpress itself, or be programmed as a seperate php system.
However, if it is programmed as a seperate system, i still wish the users to be able to log in using wordpress, so that they do not need to create a new profile.

The purpose of this system is, to give the artists the ability to create their own pages, which showcase their songs, video tracks and their profiles.
Users have the ability to upload pictures, songs, audio tracks, edit profile details and upload picture and thumbnails.
Other users (registered or not registered) can post their comments for audio/video/picture or the entire profile.

All users must be approved through backend.

The system will have a very easy to setup wizard registration and getting started system. The user will go through various of steps to complete the profile. Each artists will be able to add 3 attributes of their skills (such as singing, piano, guitar...). And using a easy search function, other users are able to search for artists after their capabilities, and message them. This gives the artists the opportunity to work together with eachother.

Moreover, each user have the option to decorate their profile page with different themes.
Each user have their own unique id: wwww.ourwebsite.com/name_of_artist

It is very important for us, that the design looks attractive. We would prefer to have some ajax technologies implemented to have a smooth feeling.

We require a clean and SEO friendly code. I have worked with several artists, and sometimes it happens, that the code is fully messed up with tables.

The budget is very limited since we are a non-profit organisation promoting new young artists.
