Description

I have phpbb2 (v 2.0.11) forum with mysql 4.x.
And I have lot of mailinglist archives in mbox format that I need to convert (insert) into phpbb2.

Of course threaded structure must be followed so that mails in one thread go under one-and-the-same topic in phpbb2 and in right timeline..

Also keep in mind that often different mbox files contain different messages belonging to one thread, as I have many mbox files (1 file per month) for one mailinglist.

I'd like it to be written in PHP 4.x (command-line app probably). I will accept perl/python/c/.. also but prefer PHP 4.x.

I won't say that I've done mbox with php before, however I know php real well and mbox format is quite well documented so I don't see the project as a problem at all.
