Description

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA. 7-10 years experience, other database experience like MSSQL or mysql is an asset.

Your role will be to support our customers environments as well as participate in various project initiatives. You will have the opportunity to expand your expertise and skills to all areas of Oracle technology.

Skills:

-A University degree in Business, MIS, Engineering, or a related discipline
-Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a strong orientation towards customer service.
-Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

Experience:

-We are looking for senior or intermediate candidates only.
-Ideally you ave been part of a support organization and involved in implementation projects.
-Demonstrated experience supporting an Oracle environment on Linux, UNIX, or Windows.
-Experience working with business analysts to resolve issues
-You have demonstrated experience liaising with customers of an IT organization.
-(desirable but not required) Ideally you have experience installing, maintaining and supporting Oracle e-business suite.

More details about the way we work and the company:
I work for a company that provides remote staffing. To find the right staff we usually work with offshore companies in more affordable destinations such as India, Pakistan, Philippines and Eastern Europe and Latin America. The company will need to have proper infrastructure in term of broadband internet and generator to make sure we provide a professional working environment.
For this specific project we require a senior Oracle DBA
although this contract is only for a month, our target is to keep you on a permanent basis.
Our process usually consists of interviewing the staff before supplying him to the client under our Brand. We actually going to do most of the management so there won’t be much management cost to you besides making sure that the office still works and the staffs come in on time. In return we expect really good prices enough to give good value to our clients and make some profit ourselves
While we try to be flexible most clients do demand North American Office hours

My degree of MBA in Information Technology along with various Database administration trainings / certifications and a relevant experience gained from a range of jobs under the database realm over the last nine years had given me a chance to develop a diversity of skills – focusing on Database Administration. Worked on different versions of Oracle Databases starting from Oracle 7.3, 8, 8i, 9i and 10g with environments having substantially large data volumes like banks, Insurance companies and telecom. In total I have 8 to 9 years of core Oracle DBA experience. Expert knowledge of Installing, configuring and managing Oracle 10g Databases, Oracle 10g RAC (on both AIX and linux environments), Oracle 10g Data guard, Oracle 10g Grid control and Oracle 10g Application Servers as well. Platforms including Windows, Linux, AIX, Hp-Unix and Sun solaris. Excellent expertise in fine tuning Oracle Databases and applications with Oracle cost based optimizer (CBO) and analyzing database Statspack reports. Installation, configuration and administration of oracle (ERP) 11i Applications.Cloning, patching and upgrading of oracle 11i Applications. Worked for prestigious organizations both in Pakistan and in Australia. In Pakistan worked with State Bank Of Pakistan(Central Bank of the country), Adamjee Insurance Company Limited (Largest insurance group of Pakistan) and in Australia worked for Telstra on their huge production Databases. Got Oracle Certifications in oracle versions 7.3, 8, 8i, 9i. I prefer working remotely no matter how long hours I have to work. I don’t care much about rates as long as I get work remotely on consistent basis References from above mentioned organizations can be furnished upon request.
