This is a simple black and white graphic design project. Bids over $50 will not be considered.

If you bidding on this project your bid should make it clear that you have read and understood this brief.

We publish sheet music of seventeeth and eighteenth century music in hard copy format. We need a designer to produce several (between 4 and 8) templates for front covers for our publications which can have text and line drawings inserted into them by us. In addition the designer will need to re-work a color logo into a black and white version.

The project is a very simple one but we need a designer of outstanding capabilities. Work that does not satisfy us will be rejected. The finished product needs to be balanced, elegant, faithful to the brief, distinctive and creative.

You should be prepared to work in a fairly intensive way with us. You should be able to produce a range of different templates, and then should be prepared to spend time working with us to refine the ideas. For the duration of the project you should be able to keep in touch with us on a very regular basis and should be prepared to send us drafts & revisions daily until the requirements are met.

No designer will be commissioned until we have seen a portfolio of work. Designers should be able to communicate with us via a message system (MSN messanger, icq, IM etc. We will be happy to install any chat program you are using).

So far we have worked with two other designers from this site and both have been left very poor feedback by us. If you can work in the way outlined above, are suitably experienced and produce good work then we will be more than happy to leave good feedback and commission you for several other projects. If any aspect of our working method and/or brief is not fulfilled you will have the commission withdrawn and poor feedback will be left.
