| Description: |
What is needed for this project is a php script that will page through jpeg images and swap and load those images into the current web browser page. The images are large jpeg files approximately 1 megabyte in size each. The script will link to a simple html page with navigation images at the top. The navigation scheme will be using gif images, not buttons. (Please see the image file associated with this posting for an example of what it currently looks like.)
The script will not need to access any kind of database, MySQL or otherwise. The reason for this is the image files will be numbered sequentially, for example: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg. 4.jpg, etcetera. So, a PHP script that automatically adjusts for this when the user clicks the First Page / Last Page / Forward / Back, etc. should work just fine. All the associated jpeg image files will be in the same folder. However, there may be as many as 1800 jpeg images in one folder. Please note, each folder will have a varying number of files in it. So, while I could manually adjust the image numbers in the script (if needed). I would prefer that the script COUNT the number of images in the folder automatically. Please let me know, if you feel the counting process would bog down the script.
Additionally, a GoTo page will be needed in the script. This will have to be a form field where the user enters a page number (1, 19, 128, 384, etc.) and jumps directly to an image.
Lastly, I would like for the script to echo back to the html page the image/page number the user is on. This will need to occur at the top of the page. (See image file.)
Your assistance will also be needed to make certain the html page calling the script does it in the proper manner. I'd like to have the script finished within a week to 10 days of the time it's awarded. So, please keep this in mind when you bid. Also, documenting the script (within the code) would be most appreciated. Thanks.
